L'Occitan — Restaurant in Argelès-Gazost

I've been hesitant about posting this review given the responses of the owner to any critical review (accusing of couple problems, being on phones, blaming the weather?), but this was an unpleasant experience. We had arrived for lunch, probably later in the service, ordered a chicken dish and an omelette. The omelette was of generous size, and we let the waitress know it was great. Unfortunately the chicken dish was quite small and gave the impression of less value for money. We mentioned this to the waitress at the same time, but said it was no problem and to leave it at that. The waitress then called over the manager, who begins to berate us for having commented. The manager then went and interrupted 3 separate tables during their meals and asked the clients if the sizing of the portions were up to their standards, and said that our table was complaining. It's unclear what this was to achieve, and of what relevance it was to what we were served, especially as we did not ask to speak to a manager. The bill was thrown at me without a word. Manque d'humanité, personnel très mal accueillant, la gérante très intrusive qui parle avec que des sarcasmes. Et quand je vois sa façon de répondre aux avis et commentaires... on voit bien la personne que c'est. Pourtant les avis servent à évoluer pas de piquer les gens comme quand elle à répondu à Océane sur son couple. Sincèrement c'est petit de la part d'un restaurateur comme elle dit. Mettez tout au norme dans votre restaurant avant de chercher que dire sur la vie des gens. Sinon changez de métier ou même allez consulter quelqu'un ça vous fera énormément du bien 😂 Bien sûr on a dû inventer une excuse pour partir poliment. On a bien fait! Pas de clim en pleine canicule, insupportable pour notre bébé qui ne faisait que de pleurer, pas de chaise haute. Des mouches partout, la salle dégage une odeur désagréable. Les plats servis aux quelques clients ne donnaient pas du tout envie. À côté de mon mari collé sur la vitre un gros autocollant piège à moi he rempli de cadavres de mouches, j'ai failli vomir, impossible de manger à côté de cela. Tireuse à bière hors service, pas de jus de fruits ni jus naturel avec cette chaleur. On est parti, on n'a pas pris commande car rien ne donnait envie de rester dans cet endroit. Tout à revoir. Amabilité, accueil, service, hygiène...

Der erste Eindruck täuscht… Das Restaurant kommt etwas schlicht rüber. Man könnte fast Fastfood erwarten. Ich bin froh, dass ich mich von den Bewertungen leiten lassen habe! Die Küche ist fantastisch! Dank mangelnder Sprachkenntnisse hatte man schnell heraus, dass die englische Karte hilfreicher wäre 😁. (Vielen Dank dafür!) Etwas Englisch wird aber durchaus gesprochen. Die Auswahl ist nicht wirklich groß -aber dennoch denkbar schwer… Es liest sich einfach alles extrem gut! -Und ist auch entsprechend lecker! Zumindest nach meiner Wahl zu urteilen! Etwas Rotwein dazu. Auch der war sehr gut. Das ältere Paar, das nach mir kam, war ganz offensichtlich auch sehr zufrieden. (Sah auch extrem lecker aus!) Die (angemessene) Wartezeit auf meine Bestellung hätte ich gern mit meinem Handy überbrückt, zumal ich alleine da war… Das war leider nicht wirklich möglich. Der Mobilfunk-Empfang war nicht gut. Das scheint hier aber ein generelles Problem zu sein. Kurzfassung: die Küche stellt definitiv alles andere in den Hintergrund! Preis/Leistung ok. Für deutsche (Berliner) Verhältnisse günstig.
