Au Village devient O Jinko — Restaurant in Arles

Delicious Senegalese Chicken Yassa. Friendly, accommodating service. Each day there is a specific meal on offer, with an alternative being quiche and a salad. Today we also had a choice of coucous, which was yesterday's meal.

Seating only in the square, or right in front of the restaurant -- no indoor seating. Today it was raining a little and they brought out a parasol for us.

For May, open for lunch Wed to Sun -- lunch only or until the food runs out. In June, open Friday to Wednesday. July and August, open every day, lunch and dinner.

The restaurant is open half the year, and the profits go towards development projects in Senegal, where the people who run the restaurant spend the winter. They've run a three year pilot project, for example, to test use of ducks in rice paddies to control the worms that reduce the productivity of the rice plantations. Accueil absolument abominable par un serveur des plus antipathiques. Méprisant et désagréable, refusant de faire son travail. Passez votre chemin et dirigez vous plutôt vers les autres petits restaurants de la place P. Doumer et rue des Porcelets qui regorgent toutes deux de pépites au service impeccable.

Ajout suite à réponse du 20/08 : il n’y a pas d’erreur d’établissement non (mais je prends notre encore une fois de votre ton condescendant). Nous nous sommes présentés avant-hier pour le déjeuner peu après 14h (sauf erreur de ma part, votre établissement fermait à 15h) et avons étés informés du fait qu’il n’y avait plus de plat du jour mais que les salades et tartines étaient toujours disponibles. Jusque-là tout va bien. 5 minutes plus tard, le même serveur nous ayant donné cette information nous a très peu aimablement demandé de partir, sur-le-champ, parce qu’il avait finalement demandé la fermeture anticipée de la cuisine et ne souhaitait pas nous servir. Nous entendons que chaque restaurant a ses horaires et contraintes, mais cela ne coûte rien de rester poli ni d’interagir normalement avec les clients plutôt que de manière agressive et dénigrante.
