We stayed at L'Oustaloun for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. Maussane is a charming small town that is a great jumping off point for day trips in the Provence region. The hotel room was large with a modern bath and overlooked the town square. Most of the restaurants serve evening meals on the square so there was lots of activity outside our window. The windows are very well insulated and when closed there were no noise issues, and most of the noise abated after 11 p.m. We were there the first week of August (high season) but never felt "crowded". The hotel's restaurant is excellent (try the duck), and the warm breakfast croissants melt in your mouth. The owner, Thierry, is very accommodating, speaks excellent English and made us feel ultra welcome. Our room was not air-conditioned but we didn't need the A/C, although it was in the 80s/90s during the daytime, the evenings were cool and the breeze made it comfortable (we occasionally used the fan in the room). L'Oustaloun is a very affordable, comfortable and charming hotel. We will definitely go back to Provence and will again stay in Maussane at...

Read moreThe hotel is owned by a beautiful family, husband and wife. They were both incredibly kind and accommodating. The hotel is situated in the center of this small quaint town, we loved strolling around the town because it was incredibly relaxing and we found a lot of great food to bring home!!! The rooms are spotless, cosy, adorned with care and ours had a great view on the town square. The food is AMAZING both the restaurant and the breakfast buffet therefore we highly recommend to eat there, the prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is incredible. If you are looking for a peaceful town and some great food this is the place for you, we personally liked it so much that we ended up staying one more night because we didn’t want...
