Au Bureau - Pub et Brasserie — Restaurant in Arras

The steak cheval was excellent! Get it medium. We also ordered the goat cheese salad called: chèvre chaud it was also very good, the salad was cold while the goat cheese had been warmed nicely. The meals were great. Yet I give only 3 stars because of the service. The two of us are gluten free and when we told the server about what we would like to order and if it could be asked in the kitchen if it was safe he came back with a list of allergens... you’d think this was perfect except it was for the dessert menu. And again you think “simple mistake” it’s when we told the waiter his mistake he gave quite a bit of attitude, clearly annoyed that we weren’t just ordering food and drink immediately and being too “picky”.

After finishing dinner we saw some friends at another table, same restaurant. We told him we were going to move there and again was met with attitude and he said that was not possible. So we simply paid the bill with him and moved to our friends table with the different server and sat with them. We did not order anything else...

Wir haben "Au Bureau" kurz vor Silvester besucht und es war, wie immer, ein wunderbares Erlebnis! Das Ambiente war festlich dekoriert, mit einem wunderschönen Weihnachtsbaum, der die Stimmung perfekt abrundete. Besonders liebe ich das Motorrad, das so schön angebracht wurde und dem Raum einen besonderen Charme verleiht.

Die Bierauswahl war fantastisch – ich habe Victoria, Ginette und Kwak Rouge genossen. Als Vorspeise wählten wir den Cheesy Platter (mit Cheddar-Sticks, Ziegenfinger, würzigen Cheddar-Kartoffeln und knusprigem Raclette), die Planche de Charcuteries Fromages und das köstliche St Marcellin Show, das im Brioche-Brötchen serviert wurde.

Für die Hauptspeise entschieden wir uns für das Better Chicken (mit mariniertem Hähnchenfilet, einer würzigen Tomatensauce und Basmatireis) und die Planche du Nord (mit Mini Welsh, Mini Carbonade und 1/2 Mister Croq) sowie das Gratin d'Andouillette. Besonders das Gratin d'Andouillette war ein Highlight – der kräftige, würzige Geschmack der Andouillette, kombiniert mit dem cremigen Maroilles, war einfach unvergleichlich und ein Muss für alle, die den authentischen Geschmack der Region erleben möchten!

Zum Abschluss gönnte sich meine Tochter, wie immer, das Moelleux au Chocolat – ein absoluter Genuss! Und ich verspreche, dass ich die Aussprache dieses köstlichen Gerichts bis zum nächsten Besuch auswendig lernen werde 😊

We went here for a family dinner, 2 adults and 3 children. The service was absolutely fantastic, when my daughter was not happy with her steak, they took it back to the kitchen and returned it as requested medim rare and profusely apologised for not getting her order correct. The rest of the family had no complaints and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The restaurant itself is very comfy and situated within Heros townsquare close to our hotel. Thank you. Would love to return again...
