Restaurant Istanbul — Restaurant in Arrondissement of Nanterre

After watching a series of Olympic games, we saw this through T2 tram. We’ve got a love for Turkish culture & food. We decided to take a chance & go for it. It smelt good & the clients appeared mostly Turkish …we got our first server who asked us sandwich or platter because the seatings were different. We looked at the menu and said we’d like to try both. So he seated us in the ‘lower table ‘ for sandwiches without table cloth by the door. I thought he didn’t understand me even though i asked if he speaks English, which was a yes …’little’. So, we get this other kind gentleman server who got our order and sets out to dress our table nicely. Strange but appreciated. Food comes and it was as good as it gets…averagely better than most restaurants in Istanbul. We got another order to go while this previous server starts acting up like a kid and throwing the pita refill at our table. They were getting busy and food was great, so we decided to make the day positive and not bothered by that...

Recently, I visit Istanbul Restaurant in La Garenne-Colombes with a buddy of mine. We indulged in the kofta kebab and I gave the Adana yogurtlu a shot. I’ve got to say, the food was a solid hit, easily a 4-star experience on that front. But, here’s the catch. The service… well, it felt a bit off. The servers seemed to struggle with managing tables, leading to us twiddling our thumbs for what felt like ages, especially for a lunch outing. The place was jam-packed, making the ambiance a bit too crowded for my liking. It wasn’t the kind of atmosphere where you could relax and enjoy a meal. Tastes like in Turkey or even better! 🇹🇷 It’s very rare in France. I enjoy so much every time I’m here. The restaurant was founded in 1998 if I remember correctly. Kitchen workers operate like Swiss watches ! It’s very impressive!

Meat is so delicious and prices are very reasonable.

I think any meat lover in the neighborhood has to try this out if not yet.

The restaurant is popular among families and simply locals. Quite often you can see even a line at the entrance, because people queue for take-aways, however, if you come not just for sandwich, you can skip the line, enter and be seated for your meal. I definitely recommend the latter.
