Itâs very disappointing, that after almost 2,5 years of the global pandemic the female manager of this restaurant said to me and my friend: âthere is no CORONAâ, when we asked to sit outside. I told her, that itâs actually Okay for us to sit inside as well, but itâs not true, that COVID doesnât exist anymore. After this she became obviously angry and told us in a very arrogant way (worldly): âIâm a Boss, this is my house and you canât say this hereâ. For me it was not clear at this moment, if Iâve just met an anti-vaxxer or she didnât get my point due to her bad English skills. However, the one thing is clear: one can NOT talk like this with clients and its NOT OK try to shut their mouth in a very unfriendly way. The other restaurants in the area were fully booked, so we had to stay for a dinner there. The food was ok, but nothing special and overpriced. It is another example of the old-fashioned French hotel, a little down-at-heel in the bedroom, and the bathroom and plumbing were of a certain age, but comfortable and great value for money. It is a very convenient place to stay to visit the historic site of Vézelay and I would not hesitate to recommend it. Beware of the parking restrictions in town though!||The breakfast was very generous with fresh bread and croissants.
