Le Petit Montmartre — Restaurant in Bastia

Very impolite manager. We asked for a table for 4 (2 people + 2 small children). He saw the situation and had us sit down but before we could even order he started complaining that we took up 4 places and were not ordering nearly enough. He told us that there were enough bakeries??? In the vicinity. We were there at 19:00 and the restaurant was empty. So he could even charge a supplement or something before offending us which he clearly enjoyed. We were happy to leave the restaurant then and there before he could start complaining about us drinking his water, using his salt and pepper and maybe even using his toilet. PS no children's menu...

The food was totally overpriced. We had the brochettes de bœuf eur22: tough as rubber and bland. The accompanying salad was a very thin layer of iceberg lettuce with a few cherry tomatoes. The salad eur19 featured THREE Gambas and they were the highlight of the whole meal. They came with smoked salmon out of a packet and again, a miserable amount of salad. The bread was dry and stale. The service was fast but we had to eat in a constant cloud of smoke created by staff smoking at a table en terrasse while being the loudest around. Avoid...

Je conseille juste au patron d'apposer un panneau "interdit aux chiens" sur sa vitrine , cela lui évitera de vociférer contre ses clients au 2 ème wouarf de leur chien ( ou de faire le tri entre le bon chien et le mauvais chien à moins que ce ne soit le maitre ..) . Pas sure que la quiétude prétextée par le patron s'en sorte "grandie" tellement l'expulsion est pour le moins tonitruante . A moins que vous n'aimiez le spectacle, les restau accueillants à Bastia ne manquent pas : le suivant ( place st Nicolas) nous a proposé tout de suite une gamelle pour le chien .... Le patron a tout a fait le droit de ne pas aimer les chiens dans son restau mais le mieux est de les refuser directement, cela lui évitera des excès de tension et une surveillance intransigeante de l'animal .
