We have rarely eaten as poorly as we did today at Chez Vincent! We only went there because of the bad weather, since it’s close to the hotel. This place is fantastic. I stumbled upon it as I was exploring the Citadelle. One way up is the elevator from the port level. Then a short spiral staircase et Voila! Staff was super. They were kind about our lack of French language skills. Seated us alfresco on a beautiful night. The maitre d works really hard to accommodate all the guests. The gentleman at the cocktail bar was super cool. I had two Martinis. Superb. We had some scorpionfish ceviche, fish of the day (dorade) and Supreme de Poulet. Very savory and delicious. This was the best food and best overall dining experience we had in all of Italy and Corsica. The pear cheese tart was fantastic, as was the Beef Wellington. More than that, the view overlooking the harbor during sunset, sipping on our cocktails, was one of my favorite memories of our trip. And the staff was some of the friendliest we met.
