The overall rating for this restaurant is why I can't trust Google reviews. It looked fine, but from the moment we stepped inside, we should have left a mistake 1. There was a smell (which we layer found out was probably the cheese) that was permeating that indoor seating area. At first, no burgers were on the menu, but then the waiter pulled out a chalkboard. This was the second mistake - not ordering from the main menu. If you want a burger, stick with only the basic. We ordered the Le Normand, and it was one of my least favorite burgers I've ever had. If you're looking for a French fusion burger, it was fine. The actual hamburger meat was fine, although still a little pink. There was a weird minced sausage (?) Patty and the strong camerbet cheese on top. I had to scrape the sausage and cheese off. The taste was way too strong, and I almost threw up. The fries were OK, and the local cider was interesting.

My wife and I went here for dinner and it was excellent! While the service was a little slow for American standards, it was still five stars for France. The food was terrific. We ordered the barbecue pork ribs, the pork loin, and the flank steak. It came with mashed potatoes for me and a salad for her. And while the barbecue was different than typical American barbecues, it was still delicious. All the meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was cozy and nice, and the waitress took good care of us. Unfortunately, just like most places in France, there was no Diet Coke, but there was Coke Zero! Then we had these delicious giant cream puff things for dessert. We were actually full but we saw other customers eating them and had to have them. And they were very good.

We spent an entire day visiting Omaha beach and were pretty hungry. This is in the heart of Bayeux and there are lots of parking spot at the church. You use your credit card or coins. After 1900, they don’t charge parking. Plus the machine is in English as well. Once you park at the church parking lot, turn left and walk down for about 6 min. It is a pretty busy place with locals and tourists. We ordered BBQ pork rib with sauce and smoked pork loin 300g with mashed potato, fried vegetables, and tab water. They sell rib per one rib. So you need to decide how many ribs you are going to have. I asked tap water so it was free. A glass of Bordeaux wine was a nice pair. Meat was so tender and juicy. Highly recommend.

Walked into this place and tried to look at a menu and this man (assumed to be the owner/manager) was so rude. He wouldn’t let us look at the menu and told us if we wanted food we had to go next door (to another part of the resturaunt?). He was extremely belittling. We were currently looking at the drink menu. It seemed as though the man didn’t want us eating inside even though that’s where we wanted to eat and there was only one other person in there drinking/waiting for their food. I told him that we would go over there but right now we were just looking at the drink menu. He was not taking this as an answer and asked us again to go next door. We dropped what we were doing, walked out of the place and went next door. We ordered on the kiosk. I wanted to pay with cash (which the kiosk did not take) and there was no one next door except for the worker who was making the food. I had to go again next door and ask how to pay with cash. The rude guy referred me to someone else and I had to explain the entire situation to him, only to walk around again next door, this time with a worker who would take the money. I couldn’t find any drink on the kiosk besides soda which I don’t drink so I had no beverage with my burger and fries.

We sat outside and had chain smoking Europeans blow their cigarettes in our faces as we ate. The tables were covered in bird droppings and other peoples food droppings which the manager clearly saw when we sat down and did nothing. He kept smirking to himself pleased that he could just boss us around because we were younger than him. He would come out periodically to stare at me and my friend while we tried to eat. We then saw the kitchen bring food inside (obvious that eating was allowed inside). Later we had friends of our group come and go inside (approx 12 people). They told us that they ate inside, got drinks and even ordered off a different menu. I also learned that they had beverages I was looking for (beer) inside.

I’m rating this place 1 star because no taste of food covers the bad taste this establishment left. You’re a resturaunt, your food should taste good, however, you provided a really poor experience. You can do better, don’t bring your personal problems into work and project onto customers. If you don’t want to explain your system to customers, create an easier system or make a poster. It’s really not that hard.

EDIT: you can also tell how tasteless the establishment is by how they reply to...

If there was a region in France I would least expect to be discriminated against as an American it would be Normandy. We were ignored by the bartender until a boy from the back of the restaurant came up. My mom asked for a table in French and the response was “I can speak English it’s better for you.” We noticed there were 2 tables open; one with a reserved sign and one at the end of a large table hosting a group, but was a different height (signifying to us that the table was its’ own 2 top). We were told the table next to us was reserved. We asked about the 2 top at the end and were told that it was part of the group, even though they already looked quite settled in. Finally, we asked if we could sit outside, as it was getting late and our options were slim. We were then told that they ran out of buns. If that was true, they would have and should have said from the start. We walked in before 9pm and it says that they close at 1am. How could they possibly be out of buns?...
