Our first bar on the main square and Flat Eric is recognised by a local "character" ( see Billy Connolly for local character definitions) ..ahh Mr Oizo..Flat Beat! A clear local favourite for drinks and socialising right on the main square. Friendly service, good enough variety of wines and beers. Plus great specials for happy hour 17:00 - 20:00. Great music and such a social vibe, I loved it.

I am grateful to the waiters for being patient with my basic French and speaking...

Les cocktails sont bons, mais notre soirée a été gâchée par l'attitude de notre serveuse. Du début à la fin, une attitude désagréable. On arrive, on hésite pour 3 tables, elle arrive en faisant presque barrière, un "Bonjour" (déjà bien vu la suite de notre expérience) et c'est tout, on se demandait même si elle travaillait ici ... "Asseyez vous là" Bon, d'accord, il y avait du monde, elle devait être pressée, ça ne nous interpelle pas... Plus tard, elle vient pour prendre notre commande, on lui demande une carte d'abord, elle part en soufflant, dépose les cartes et repart. On finit quand même par commander, on nous claque bien les verres sur la table. Face à notre surprise, nos voisines de table nous disent être rassurées car elles subissent le même traitement malgré notre politesse. Heureusement un autre serveur est venu plus tard, il était bien accueillant :) Dommage pour ce bar que nous apprécions, car là vraiment nous...
