The hotel is a 7-minute walk from the Belfort train station, and a few minute walk into the old city centre. The walk from the train station to the hotel is in a less well-kept part of town. ||||My husband and I stayed one night in the (standard room). Our room was clean, with a comfortable (but average) bed and pillows. The pictures accurately represent the renovated and modern style of the rooms. From the outside, the hotel looks run-down, but the interior has been updated. ||||Hotel staff were very kind and friendly. They offered recommendations for restaurants and assisted with renting a car. However, they weren't as knowledgeable as one would expect from hotel concierge services. ||||The hotel breakfast was average (10E per person). There was a diverse selection of breakfast items, including coffee/tea, juices, crepes, croissants, different types of bread, a small selection of cheeses and ham, fruit, cereal, and yogurt. The buffet was clean, nicely presented and the dining area (part of the Les Capucins restaurant) was a lovely setting to enjoy the breakfast. The coffee was delicious! I would have rated the breakfast as above average, except that one of the fruit bowls smelled like rotten fruit.||||Tips: (1) Les Capucins Restaurant: One of the reasons we booked the hotel was because we wanted to dine at the restaurant. Read moreWe were booked into a double room, even after asking for a twin bedded room. The double room had a good sized shower room which would have been ideal, but the double bed not. I have spinal issues need my own bed. We were moved to another room, the beds were fantastic, however, the shower room was made for a very tiny person. Sitting on the loo, one had to be careful how you got up. I banged my cheek, the sink was that close. The room was clean and well presented. Shower room let it down.||We booked breakfast. The first morning it was lovely as it was in the dining room and set out with white table linen. The second morning, the buffet was set out but we were instructed to sit in the bar area. If I am paying good money, I feel that I should have been allowed to sit in the DINING ROOM area away from the daily grind of hotel business. The hotel appears to close up at night and people let themselves in and out but the bar and restaurant were closed. Would I stay here again -...
