Best coffee we have EVER had in France and a delicious cozy cafe too

Such a comfortable, relaxing, easy bilingual place to be. Within a few visits they were treating us like we were friends/family instead of just tourists in town for a while and it was soon our daily trips were one of the best parts of our days.

This is our 7th trip to France, and we've been all over, so when I say it is seriously the BEST coffee we've had in the whole country, I mean it. They know their coffee and the coffee countries and get organic beans imported and roast them locally. The milk is local for the lattes. The freshly squeezed juices are as good as anywhere.

The owners and various friends drop by to play flamenco and classical guitar in the quiet moments, and a fun mix of old and new, world and mainstream music otherwise.

There are excellent pancakes with real Canadian maple syrup.

And the view of the square of Monpazier -- our favourite Bastide town in the Dordogne -- can't be beat. An amazing...

Today, the waiter in this cafe swore at me and my children. First he was sarcastic when I asked if he could please bring the second smoothie. Then he went into a full on rant for 5 minutes. The family next to me intervened because they said he was being extremely abusive. He shouted at them to leave as well saying to us all to leave, that he loathes English people and that he never wanted to see us again. In 20 years of visiting and loving Monpazier, and 35 years of buying coffee in cafes, this was the rudest waiter, and the most upsetting experience I’ve ever encountered. My children and I paid the 25 euros for our drinks and a pancake, and left. His rudeness has stayed...

We had a shocking experience here today. The waiter was incredibly rude to an English family sitting next to us. They we’re complaining rightly that they had waited a long time for their order and the waiter spoke to them in french, swearing in french, which we were able to understand. When we challenged him he was very rude to us and told us he didn’t want us to come to the restaurant again. My daughter went inside and spoke to the senior person there who was indifferent to the issue. We were told that he was tired. Suffice to say none on our party of 10 will go...

It was about lunchtime when we looked around and it was the only place that was open, they say we only have breakfast but it was lunchtime. So we order our food the staff is so so and we waited way too long for some decent food with extraordinarily awful prices. They charged €5 for a tiny orange juice and 4 euros for frape. We ended up paying 41 euros for a midiocre lunch breakfast.

Beautiful way to spend a lunchtime in May before the tourist season really kicked off. The plat du jour was very tasty and we really enjoyed sitting out, taking a relaxed lunch under the arches on the central square at Monpazier. From there we looked around the town and it's very picturesque, retains its medieval heritage and seems well cared for.

Best place in France for true coffee lovers! We travelled well out of our way on a return visit to the area just for their lattes and they didn’t disappoint. Lovely outdoor setting. Most highly recommended.
