If you’re looking for a great Brazilian dining experience in Bordeaux, Carioca Restaurante is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is lively and filled with cultural touches, like the beautiful indigenous feather headdress on display, which adds a nice authentic vibe to the place.

We had a really good time trying different dishes. My daughter had the shrimp, which was cooked just right and served over tasty rice with some fresh salad on the side. My girlfriend really enjoyed the “moqueca de peixe” , a traditional fish stew that was rich and full of flavor. I went for the “feijoada” a hearty black bean and meat stew, which was super filling and comforting.

What really stood out, though, was the service. Our waiter took the time to explain each dish, which was super helpful since it helped us avoid ordering too much food. This personal touch made our meal even more enjoyable.

The only thing we’d suggest for improvement is the lighting—it was a bit too bright and could be more atmospheric to match the cozy vibe of the place. But honestly, that’s just a small thing.

The Carioca is hands down the best restaurant in Bordeaux. I've been coming here regularly for the past 11 years and I'm never disappointed. The owner and staff are fantastic and the food is always fresh and delicious. Plus, it's all served up by authentic Brazilian staff, which makes for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The menu is available in English, French, and Spanish, and the wine list is impressive. If you're looking for great service and an unforgettable meal, I highly recommend the Carioca restaurant.

What a fun evening it was at this lovely Brazilian restaurant! We tried their signature cocktail- caipirinha, and it was worth all the hype!! Vegetarian food is probably not a popular choice in Brazilian cuisine, yet their banana beignets were surprisingly good And if you love desserts, then do save some space for their wide selection of ice creams and some classics like coconut cake and flan Their portions are generous, so better go in on a full appetite!
