chez Ersin — Restaurant in Bordeaux

We came here as we were in the area and the very high ratings, and it didn't disappoint. We ordered the chicken kebab plate as well as the lamb chop plate, and everything was delicious -- the meat was tender, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection and had generous portions. The fries were also good and the sauces so addicting. As for some negative reviews -- sure, the server "didn't smile" but who cares😅 Not everyone has to be so cherry all the time, but he answered all our questions, cooked the lamb from scratch, prepared everything, and charged us correctly, and that's all I need from a kebab shop. One of the best meals we've had in our 2+ week trip in France, would highly recommend to family...

We wandered in to this spot looking for good food prior to our train departure I use google ratings often and noted lack luster scores for the cafes in front of the station and very high scores for this place I dragged my wife and luggage here instead of eating crappy cafe food The friendly chef didn’t speak English and my French is admittedly bad He indicated he would put a meal for two together and I should not worry The food was spectacular This isn’t what I was expecting as our last meal in Bordeaux but honestly it was pretty close to the best one of our vacation Nothing fancy but if you like charcoal fired succulent meat with a toothy grin...

Probably the best meal we had in Bordeaux city. This is a lively take-away / sit in (we sat in) just oppsite Bordeaux-St Jean railway station. We stayed at the Novotel just along the road and chez Ersin was always busy (always a good sign). Place was clean, staff were friendly and happy. We had veg falafels and chips which were fresh and delicious. Locals love this place and so did we - they're open until midnight, so...
