Le Bistro du Musée — Restaurant in Bordeaux

I rearly leave a review, but this place deserves it. We accidentally saw this place on the way back to hotel as our reservation for dinner elsewhere was cancelled. This was best decision we made for food choice. We had one of the best meals in Bordeaux so far. Definitely place to go. For 3 course meal for €35 per person it was just bargain to start with. On arrival, staff was very welcoming, even with some language barrier at the start. We got seating at cery nice table. Team was very professional. We didn't wait long to get our orders taken and food was out in no time. Regarding the food. It was Magnificent. Prepared to perfection I can say. We had salmon and scallops for starter , steak and lamb confit for main and 2 deserts. All of the food was served hot , its was extremely tasty and I could not wish for more. Restaurant also have a great vine selection what was great bonus....

Right under the big cathedral and in view of the Hotel de Ville in Bordeaux. The menu consists of various choices for fish and meat lovers and all is well presented upon arrival at your table. We originally had a table indoors, but due to corona the air-conditioning was not allowed and it was very warm that evening. The waiter was so kind to inform us that we could have a table outside if we would wait inside for 5 minutes. And so it was. The wait was worth it as can be seen from the photos of the souris d'agneau (lamb) and the café gourmand (dessert) with a pineapple pie, chocolate mousse and crême brulée. We ordered two Children's meals €12.90 (Steak Haché). The quality of steak, mash potatoes was very good. My 8 YO and 10 YO loved it and the ice cream was a treat. :-) Again great quality. Only thing I would suggest are more vegetables please. :-)
