This is a bronze statue at Place Pey-Berland of politician Jacques Chaban Delmas (1915-2000) who famously served as Mayor of the city of Bordeaux from 1947-1995 and French Prime Minster from 1969-72. The statue is the work of sculptor Jean Cardot and was installed upon the square in 2012.

Interestingly, his statue faces Hôtel de Ville Bordeaux, poignant in a sense. I guess the only interesting thing for me here is its glorious location surrounded by the Pey Berland tower, Bordeaux Cathedral and the Hôtel de Ville Bordeaux.
