Statue of Jacques Chaban Delmas — Attraction in Bordeaux

This is a bronze statue at Place Pey-Berland of politician Jacques Chaban Delmas (1915-2000) who famously served as Mayor of the city of Bordeaux from 1947-1995 and French Prime Minster from 1969-72. The statue is the work of sculptor Jean Cardot and was installed upon the square in 2012.

Well it's a statue in Pey Berland square next to Bordeaux Cathedral. I didn't know much about his history until I googled it! That he was a journalist and a city mayor. Interestingly, his statue faces Hôtel de Ville Bordeaux, poignant in a sense. I guess the only interesting thing for me here is its glorious location surrounded by the Pey Berland tower, Bordeaux Cathedral and the Hôtel de Ville Bordeaux. Oh, the tram stop is a minute walk from this statue. Worth a look? Yes from my point of view....

It's historical landmarks in Bordeaux. It's located in the center, it's historical places and specifically for tourists. One of the important icons as well. I highly recommended to visit and have look, it's close to the tram station just 2 minutes or 3 by walking. So it's...
