L'Outback — Restaurant in Boulogne-sur-Mer

I've been in France for two months now, and this is by far the worst meal I've had.

Wings were bland and had been cooked in the same oil as fish and chips (fish flavored wings? Yuck!). The mixed grill was meat with zero seasoning served with a mediocre BBQ sauce. The cooking grill they brought out for us to use was so hot it charred the meat while the center stayed raw. The fries were all cooked in old grease and came out lukewarm.

But the worst offender was the pizza. The first one came with the crust still doughy - as in uncooked, and malleable with a fork. We asked for a replacement. The replacement was a little more cooked around the outside, but still dough near the middle. We decided to not ask for a third and tried it. Bland, uninspired, undercooked, and underwhelming.

To add insult to injury, the prices here suggest a MUCH higher quality of ingredients and dishes than we were served. I've eaten at excellent mid range French places that cost less than here. I was given no compensation or apology for the pizza debacle. So don't come here like I did looking to save a few Euros over the typical French place.

Simply abysmal. If I could give 0 stars I would. Avoid...

Very unfriendly Bar Staff, to the point of being rude. The place was virtually empty, but he booted us out if or seats saying it was reserved. We moved ! No food available and although we were reading the menu the barman then took them off us, including the serviette I had wiped my nose on.He then laid a dinner place on another table...I just feel for that person. Sorry you got a snotty tissue. How unhygienic of him and rude. Glad we didn't stay to eat the food later. We won't be back having been made to feel most unwelcome. Maybe because Ireland currently winning at the rugby...

Par quoi commencer ! La déco est très sympa et chaleureuse. Le service bof, des serveurs a qui il faut arracher un sourire. Une touche féminine ne ferait pas de mal. L'attente presque une heure pour avoir l'entrée alors que nous étions peut-être 6 clients en salle, ben les cuistos étaient entrain de manger, j'aurais dis dormir plutôt. Pour les plats qualité vraiment médiocre, une planche apéritif avec de la charcuterie fade, des légumes baignant dans une vinaigrette immangeable car trop relevée, la présentation 0. Le welsh trop cuit avec une tartine banale non grillée fromage de piètre qualité et que dire des frites maisons. Faites avec des pommes de terre non épluchées, de toutes les tailles, vraiment très très grasses. Je n'ai même pas pris de dessert ni de café car vraiment aucune qualité. Gordon Ramsay au secours. Ce resto autrefois très très bien est aujourd'hui perdition. Les serveurs ont l'air de babacool défoncés et les cuistos n'en sont certainement pas, c'est certain. Si vous voulez de la qualité fuyez ce resto. Ah seul point positif oserais-je dire, c'est que l'addition contrairement aux plats est arrivée...
