Until now we always followed the google reviews for restaurant visits in cities we don’t know. Until now it was always spot on and good. Unfortunately our experience wasn’t something worth the 4.6 star rating (in our opinion). FOODS A sharing plate with fine meats (€20) some olives some cheese triangles some smoked meat (really salty) some dried meat (pretty good) lots of chorizo Rucola In our experiences plates to share worth €20 should have way more meat that (again in our opinion) could be cut finer, add a burata in the middle, dried tomatoes, bread sticks, … The main dish was pizza for all of us. I liked it a lot, I had a regina (known as prosciutto) and it was perfect, great dough en toppings. Our other guest had a calzone and some kind of cheese pizza. What they all complained about was the balsamico that was generously added and a burratta on all 3 pizza’s. The calzone was a closed pizza, same dough and well filled. Since it was a closed pizza they also added ruccolla salad for the other half of the plate with a burratta. This made it a heavy dish. The cheese pizza had a (cold) burratta in the middle what made the whole pizza cold.
Like mentioned before, leave the burratta on the main dishes and make a great sharing plate with more variety.
SERVICE Maybe our standards were to high but it was bad. I’d say there were approximately 50 seats in the restaurant and they had 3 servers to (try) serve everyone and take their order. It took already some time before they came to take our first drinking order (prosecco, pastis, etc) and some time to get them. When they delivered them (not all at the same time to start and after being approximately 10 - 15 minutes seated) they just left and we had to ask to take our orders. There is no consistency how they work, tables are not appointed to certain workers what makes that it’s not structured. While eating a person asked if we could get drinks, they came to take the order, one person asked something and they left …
We were 4 adults and 2 kids, restaurant time was 2 hours for a sharing appetizer and a main dish. We paid €150, witch is a correct price for the food but not at all for the...
Read moreExcellent new Italian restaurant in Hardelot. Easily the best pizzas in town. Would definitely recommend. Nice selection of charcuterie boards and cocktails and a good (narrow) view of the sunset if you manage to get one of the few well placed seats on the terrace. Pizzas on the kids menu are same size as the adult ones (!) so good for large appetites or saving the leftovers for a picnic on the...
