Panda Wok — Restaurant in Boulogne-sur-Mer

Very upset with the quality of the food and especially with the service. Employees laughing on my face because of my French and the guy in the reception was very rude. Now you have the right of two drinks per person and you have to get them right away in the entrance. We didn’t understand very well and got just two bottles of water (we were in 4) because we intended to spend the other drinks in beer. After all we didn’t get them all and my husband went back to get one coca-cola and another bottle of water and the guy was super rude asking him if he knew how to read the signs in French (we do…). He ended up paying for these drinks, and it is fine even thouhg it was our right but we kinda misunderstood the way of working, but it’s not fine the way he was spoken to, neither...

So - it's an all you can eat buffet serving fresh seafood, including sushi and shellfish on ice, plus raw seafood and fish fillets stir fried to order. I've been twice on weekend evenings and everything was spot on! In addition, there are fresh meats, including steaks, chicken etc that is cooked to order (you select it from the buffet and hand it to the chefs who cook in on a griddle or wok in front of you). There's a couple of self service cocktails, sparkling wine, beer, soft drinks, water, tea and good coffee - a huge selection of ice cream and sorbet plus other typical French desserts - all included in the buffet price. Mise à jour pour le repas du 11 avril 2024 : Voilà, c’est la dernière fois que je mets les pieds dans cet établissement. Il y fait froid, beaucoup gardent leurs vestes ou manteaux, et un membre du personnel porte un casque de musique. Les nouilles sautées ont un goût de sauce barbecue, les plats finis ne sont pas tous réapprovisionnés. Et la palme d’or est pour notre cuisinier au wok, assis sur un gros pot de mayonnaise, devant nous, posant son portable sur le plan de travail et regardant un match. Avant, les employés vous disaient bonjour et au revoir, là plus rien. Je ne sais pas si ça a changé de propriétaire. Bref, j'ai la photo à l'appui.. Ancien post : Panda Wok est un endroit où j'ai mes petites habitudes, je m'y rend environ une fois tous les deux ou trois mois. Évidemment la quantité prime sur la qualité, il y a de tout de la cuisine Japonaise , Chinoise, Thaïlandaise, salade de pâtes, frites, nuggets etc. Le but étant qu'il y en ait pour tous les goûts, le gros point fort est le point plancha et wok, choisissez votre viande et vos condiments, laissez libre courts à toute sortes de combinaisons. Le point faible et qu'il y a de moins en moins de choix en boissons et la qualité de celles qui reste est vraiment médiocre. Bière plate car sans pression dans la pompe, vin rouge qui vous assure des brûlures d'estomac. Adieu la "Tsingtao" en bouteille, adieu les bouteilles tout court (jus de fruit etc). Vous avez les choix en soft, à deux cannettes. Les temps sont dures et je pense que l'établissement à du mal à joindre les deux bouts, c'est d'ailleurs le seul à ne pas vous offrir du Sake par rapport à ses deux concurrents dans la ZI de Boulogne. Vous avez un large choix en dessert, gâteaux, mignardises, crèmes glacées. Ça se tiens niveau qualité/prix. Les employés et le gérant sont accueillants et répondront à la plupart de votre demande, les temps sont dure pour eux et j'espère qu'après la pandémie et les possibles ennuies qui en découle, j'espère un jour retrouver ma "Tsingtao" et mon jus de fruit...
