A little piece of Thailand right in the middle of the ski resort!
This is our go to place whenever we're skiing in Serre Chevalier: a cozy little restaurant just a few steps from the main ski lift of Chante-Merle. The service is warm and friendly, and the food is out of this world, at least this part of the world: my absolute favorite is the "Nouille 2/Pad Kapraw": triangular noodle sautéed with chicken, and of course, the Pad Thai ("Nouille 4") rival the best of Bangkok. The lady chef must have some powerful magic because she serves very authentic Thai dishes in this remote part of the world with its shortage of Asian ingredients; she told me she has to go all the way to Grenoble to resupply!
The prices are fair for a ski resort: the Pad Kapraw is €14.85, not even a Euro more than an ordinary pizza: a tiny surcharge for a true culinary treat! We didn't feel welcome by the male owner who looked like everybody was annoying him and this affected our experience....
