Crêperie l'Instant — Restaurant in Caen

ITA version (scroll for Eng): Ho dovuto cambiare la mia valutazione da 5 a 3 stelle. Il Locale è molto carino, si mangia bene, fa ottime galette e ottime crepes e le cameriere sono cordiali e parlano un buon inglese... purtroppo c'è qualcosa che non va con il servizio. Il primo giorno ci siamo stati per cena e anche se il locale era pieno sia dentro che fuori ci hanno trovato due posti è stato tutto perfetto, galette ottime! Secondo me è il posto migliore della zona per mangiare! Visto che ci eravamo trovati molto bene decidiamo di tornare anche il giorno dopo, nonostante sia ad 1.5 Km dalla nostra stanza e noi siamo a piedi. Arriviamo e tutti i tavoli fuori erano liberi, pensiamo :"meno male, ci sarà posto sicuramente!". Invece no: la cameriera ci dice che dentro è tutto prenotato e che fuori non servono nessuno perché fa freddo. Ma questo è strano perchè il giorno prima, con un meteo peggiore, fuori era pieno di persone che mangiavano, come mai oggi no?! Il giorno prima c'era vento e minacciava pioggia e fuori i tavoli erano pieni. Oggi con un tempo migliore non servono fuori (niente vento, niente pioggia, temperatura nella norma). Non ha molto senso questo per noi. Alla fine abbiamo dovuto in un altra creperia (meno buona) nei tavoli all'esterno e confermo che non faceva freddo, anzi il tempo era buono. Ci siamo rimasti molto male... Ultimo giorno in Normandia molto deludente. Un vero peccato :( PS: Avremmo dovuto prenotare, però essendo in giro in macchina con un programma di visite molto serrato non sapevamo neanche se saremmo tornati in città in tempo per cenare. Comunque, noi avremmo mangiato tranquillamente nei tavoli all'esterno (come facevano tutti il giorno prima e come facevano tutti nei ristoranti dei dintorni e come poi abbiamo fatto in un altro ristorante) e in 40 minuti avremmo mangiato, pagato e liberato il tavolo. Saremmo potuti essere tutti felici. PPS: Molto apprezzabile il fatto che rispondano alle recensioni, che parlino un ottimo inglese e che si possa prenotare per telefono, io però avrei preferito cenare ^^"

ENG version: I had to change my rating from 5 to 3 stars. The restaurant is very nice, great food, makes excellent galettes and excellent crepes and the waitresses are friendly and speak good English ... unfortunately there is something wrong with the service. The first day we were there for dinner and even if the place was full both inside and out they found us two places: everything was perfect, excellent galettes! I think it's the best place in the area to eat! Since we liked the place so much, we decide to come back the next day, even though it is 1.5 km from our room and we are on foot. We arrive and all the tables outside were free, we think: "thank goodness, there will certainly be a table!". But no: the waitress tells us that everything is booked inside and we can't be outside because it's too cold. But this is strange because the day before, with bad weather, it was full of people eating outside, why not today ?! The day before there was wind and threatened rain and outside the tables were full. Today with better weather they do not serve outside (no wind, no rain, normal temperature). This doesn't make much sense to us. In the end we had to have another crêperie (much less good) in the tables outside and confirm that it wasn't cold, in fact the weather was good. We were very disappointed ... Last day in Normandy very disappointing. Such a pity :( PS: We should have booked, but we were driving around with a very tight schedule, we didn't even know if we would be back in town in time for dinner. However, we would have eaten quietly on the tables outside (as everyone did the day before and as everyone else did in the restaurants in the surroundings and as we did in another restaurant) and in 40 minutes we would have eaten, paid and freed the table. We could all have been happy. Sin. PPS: Very appreciable the fact that they respond to reviews, that they speak excellent English and that you can book by phone, but I would have preferred to have dinner in free...

What can I say about this wonderful Crêperie. Kelsey & Jordan have really made something special here. Jordan, a Normandy local, is a perfectionist in the kitchen and creates truly outstanding crepes of all sorts. He makes many of the ingredients from scratch, like the truly divine salted caramel. Kelsey is wonderfully accommodating and brings American service standards to France! If I could give Crêperie l'Instant more stars, I would. Most importantly, please rate them 5 stars on Google if you visit. I guarantee you won't regret it. 🇭🇲 living in 🇮🇪 on...

Great little restaurant, with a nice decoration and atmosphere. Friendly reception, great food and a really fast service, even if it's a "full house". Prices are more than reasonable, and the menu is filled with some amazing things to try, both sweet and salty. Staff speaks both French and English, which is another reason to visit.

Their overal presence online (for example here in these very reviews) shows that they really want to the very best for...
