Greedy Guts — Restaurant in Caen

Average at best. Tasted ok, nothing spectacular, but my plate was not balanced at all, not many carbs. The portions are also way too small. I found a snail in my lettuce, so I didn't finish it and left hungry. I understand the lettuce is organic, but that doesn't mean they don't have to wash it thoroughly. The waiter apologized but didn't even ask if I wanted another thing or if he could bring me something else. All in all he apologized a couple of times but in the end insisted on me paying for my dish, which is absurd to say the least. He offered the drinks on the house though. I ended up paying for the drinks and not for my dish. Weird experience. They do have "greedy" in their name though...At least the food...

What a fantastic find, we just stopped off at Caen for dinner on the way to the ferry and stumbled across this place. Its at the end of a small side street off the main road but you can't miss the colourful lights outside. The food is fantastic and very fresh, it's all vegan but would recommend to anybody ( I'm not vegan nor vegetarian). My wife is vegetarian so this place was a welcome after a week in France where the choices for her are perhaps not as good as the UK. The fresh juices were great too. L’ambiance du restaurant est génial , il y’a des jeux de société disposés sur les table pour faire passez le temps pendant qu’on attend nos plat ( le temps d’attente est vraiment court) les plat change chaque semaine donc on ne peut pas se lassée des plat, le serveur est très aimable et sait nous mettre à l’aise , il y’a une ambiance générale très conviviale avec un fond musicale de très bon goûts , on a cette sensation d’être invité à manger chez des amis . Pour ce qui est des plats je trouve qu’ils ont une atmosphère de plat fait soit même à la maison , il n’ont pas la prétention d’être des plats étoilé mais il sont délicieux , les portions sont généreuse , et pour ceux qui est des desserts, je ne saurais pas leur rendre assez Hommage avec des simple mots , tout est vegan et pourtant on ne le sens pas , surtout leur chantilly vegan , tout est fait maison et avec amour et ça se sent dans le goûts , je n’es jamais manger d’aussi bon dessert de ma vie , je recommande fortement ce restaurant (même si au fond de moi je souhaite que ça reste un endroit peut fréquenté car c’est mon jardin secret de Caen ) Le faite que le restaurant soit « caché » en retrait du reste des enseigne qu’il l’entour nous donne l’impression de ne plus être dans le centre ville de Caen mais dans un chalet familial ou une maison de campagne isolé du reste de la civilisation, je suis très heureux d’avoir découvert cette endroit , et pour conclure ce long avis sincère je rajouterais ceci : Ce restaurant est une pause dans le temps où l’on mange bien pour un prix abordable, même pour les personne qui ne mange pas vegan je vous recommande vivement, Un grand merci à toute l’équipe de Greedy Guts merci pour ceux moment de rêve et j’ai hâte...
