We have lived in France for 4 years now and honestly this is the worst meal we've ever had here. We were lured into the "touist trap" by a very accomodating lady. The "pleasure" menu sounded ideal. We ordered a pichet of Vin Rouge which we had to send back. We are definitely not wine snobs however this was absolutey undrinkable. We asked for a bottle of Pinot Noir to replace it. The bottle arrived at the table, opened, and tasted exactly as bad as the pichet. The starters were nice. The accompanying bread was stale. The mains were mixed. The tuna was fine - a little salty. The steak was tough and tasetless. It bled all over the plate so hadn't been rested at all. It was a very cheap cut cooked terribly. The pepper sauce was great and the frites were frites! The desserts were ok. The lemon meringue was lacking in lemon and the merinque was full of sugar cristals. The pavlova was tinned pineapple, meringue and cream. Both desserts were covered in pink candy. France prides itself on pattiserie. Normandy prides itself on its Beouf. We were entirely let down on all counts. I would never eat or drink here again, Oh, and they charged us for the Pichet that was returned. The guys attitde was aggresive and unfriendly when I asked for that to be removed. He shoved a tip box at me, averted eye contact and said "tips in...
Read moreHorrible experience. Asked for a tournedos, it wasn’t cooked well so they took it back, cut it in half and served it again. This was even worse. After, they took my plate and gave me a rumsteak, which was more chewey than bubblegum, and I didn’t even order. My partner had to eat alone for 2 hours while I just sat and waited and drank the wine. Oh and mind you, this was my birthday dinner. When my partner finished eating, they had the audacity to ask if I wanted desert. 😂 then they charged me for everything. The wine was good though. Would never go again. Worst experience in a...
Read moreThe main dish wasn't bad. I got chicken with French fries and mushroom sauce and some green beans. But I would have loved it if there were more vegetables. And the chicken was tough, so I didn't quite enjoy the food. For dessert, I chose crème brûlée, but my friends didn't enjoy their desserts because the crème brûlée was undercooked and the other options (pancakes) were very elastic and chewy. I did enjoy the crème brûlée, as it was my first time, but it was full of sugar, and I only ate half. The workers were very friendly...
