Mister Burger — Restaurant in Caen

HORRIBLE. Asked for Bacon burger without the onions and bien cuit. Was told they can only cook burgers medium. That in and of itself is ridiculous. I guess they’re already cooked and they just warm them up or something 🤢. Anyway, the waitress says she would ask. I said if they can’t do it I don’t want it, thank you. Less than 5 minutes later she brings the burger and the steak for my dinner companion. The burger had the onions and was barely cooked. The waitress passed many times seeing I’m not eating and said nothing. We asked for the check and she asked me if it was good 🤯. I hadn’t even taken a bite. I cut it in half and could see it wasn’t cooked. Rather than argue I asked for it emporter . I figured I’d cook it back at our place. We ate lunch at Mister Burger the day we arrived in Leon Sur Mer for our vacation. Our accommodation was just next door and since we arrived around 14h, it was a late lunch. The server was super nice allowing us to sit so late and just before they would close for the afternoon. The food was fantastic. My family ate burgers and chicken dishes that they loved. I had the chicken salad which was huge and delicious, perfect on a warm beachside day. They also have a good beer selection with one of my absolute favorites (Lagunitas IPA) on tap. To top it off, the server heard us talking about how it was my daughters birthday that day; and for dessert he surprised her (and us) with a huge and beautiful ice-cream with whipped cream and candies on top. Absolutely incompetent establishment. Firstly a warning to those with dietary requirements and allergies to avoid. They have no comprehension of how to comply with these requirements. Furthermore, their staff are not aware of the basics of table service. One of the highlights was when they seated my party on a road, and asked us all to get up to let a car through.
