We are tourists from Malaysia. As much as we are blessed to be in France, after one week of canard-foie-cheese-repeat, we needed some Asian food. We found this spot on Google Maps and thought we'd give it a go. La Balinaise did not disappoint. The food was incredible -- from the iga babi to the rawon and the pulut hitam (extra stars for the pork and the pulut). The sambal slapped. We have high standards for SEA food and we're happy to say that every dish hit. Thank you for the amazing time!

Authentic Indonesian food not toned down too much for the French - most French do not like it too spicy but the sambal (on the side so you don't have to go wild) was spot on! Multi-lingual staff with cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Well priced too.

Petit restaurant sympathique présentant des spécialités indonésiennes, le lieu est cosy et agréable, attention peu de tables pensez à réserver, la cuisine est originale et très bonne, les plats ont du goût. C’est un restaurant qui apporte une vraie diversité culinaire à Cahors. Pas de menu, vous devrez prendre les entrées plat et/ou dessert à la carte, les prix sont raisonnables, le service est agréable, un peu long au début mais le plat s’enchaîne assez vite après l’entrée. En me référant aux photos j’avais peur de ne pas être callé à la fin du repas mais les portions sont suffisantes. Possibilité de commander à emporter. Je vous recommande fortement de venir tester ce restaurant !

This will tell you what you need to know, we were in Cahors for two nights and ate dinner here both nights. The plat du jour of banana leaf wrapped fish was so good. And they have a great regular menu and "heat" if you like. The husband /wife owners and staff are so friendly. It rained the second night and they just took such good care of us. Delicious food, very unique for this area of France, really friendly owners and great service, beautiful interior and very reasonably priced, open all year round for lunch and dinner most days (unlike a lot of restaurants around here)....
