Nice food. This is a veggie restaurant run by Armenians. My experience didn’t meet the effusive praise and near perfect 4.9 rating here, but I did have a very enjoyable, and good value meal. The menu is a bit difficult to work out, not just because it’s in French and unfamiliar veggie food, but because it’s not that clearly written on the blackboard. So I effectively ordered “blind” - although I’m not food fussy. The food was delicious and served efficiently. They didn’t have any rose (pity) so I had a glass of white. As with the water, it was tepid rather than cold and I wasn’t impressed to start with. But some ice cubes helped improve the wine considerably so ultimately it was okay but nothing special. My starter was a vegan sausage on a bed of lettuce and bread. It was generous and tasty. Main was some kind of bulgar wheat gallette with noodles and cabbage salad. It was delicious. The large terrace is a nice place to eat though the small interior of the restaurant less charming. The matriarch was very pleasant and engaging. Read moreWe nearly disregarded this place but a couple of locals said it was fantastic, they were not wrong! I feel that great vege food should make you feel inspired about what can be done with veg and also be so tasty that the dish would be ruined if meat or fish was present on it - this place did both for us. The food was home made, excellent and a really refreshing break from eating rich typical French food that is so meat heavy. The staff are passionate about the food and the setting is really nice. Big thanks to the chef who gave me some tips on how to make Armenian style rice and to the man playing some soulful guitar at we ate it was beautiful. Hopefully the world will be full of places like this as we realign our...
Read moreA culinary revelation in Cahors - Le Jardin de Suzan
Rarely have I been so impressed by a restaurant as Le Jardin de Suzan. This is not just any service - it is pure enjoyment, passion and perfection of tasts on a plate. The flavours are bold and harmonious, the products super fresh and carefully selected, and the wine selection is downright exquisite.
this is the best restaurant I have ever been to, and also for the cheap prices you get for the food! Le Jardin de Suzan is a real gem in the gastronomic landscape. Just like in Cahors, you can indulge yourself here. It is more than highly recommended - it is an experience that...
