We had a nice meal at Bateleur but nothing out of the ordinary. I had fish with potatoes in a mint/pea broth and my husband had veal with risotto and fresh peas, finishing with a cheese plate. There was only 1 server and she was running to keep up so service definitely suffered. For instance, the cheese plate was dropped on our table without any explanation of what each of the cheeses were; we figured it out but would have appreciated even a simple explanation. The prices are on the expensive side as we had 2 main courses, a cheese plate and 3 glasses of wine totalling €115.

We discovered this gem by accident. Could not have been more thrilled. We were impressed with the introductory artichoke puree with Chile; the first course octopus and pomme de terre confite were unique flavors for us. The brisket was perfectly cooked and the risotto Verde was yummy. Very happy with the ambiance, view, and darling wait staff. Wish our French was up to the task to compliment them appropriately.

Nice indoor setting & delicious meal, be it fish or meat. Though selection is limited, food ingredients are of fresh produce. Waiting staff is truly courteous & attentive to needs. Really worth a visit (or more 😉).

We’ve eaten in Michelin restaurants across France and this one is the only disappointment. The service was perfectly fine but the food was really quite poor. The Menu had only one choice and there was no vegetarian option- only a cobbled-together offer to do some asparagus and polenta. The fish on the a la carte menu was €33 but was really watery and pretty tasteless. The accompanying vegetables lacked flavour entirely. The wine was nice and the setting in the courtyard across the street was quite sweet. All in all over-priced and very disappointing food. We paid nearly €200 for five of us and have had much much better food in other Michelin restaurants in France for the same...

The food was good quality, but small portions and high prices. The view was surprisingly nice hugging a small cliff over the river, facing old town. The staff was professional but not really warm. I was more comfortable in La Lyriste a few blocks away as it was family-owned, more traditional home-cooking, and the owners were super-charming and warm without being overwhelming; all that and it was a better value...
