Great grounds to use as base to explore the region. Stayed here early October 2023. Easy, short walk to town. You get to see the Roman theatre ruins while you walk into the "new" town. Old town is just a bit further. Super easy to walk. City Markets on Tuesday, really good and diverse. Get cheese and charcuterie from the region. Lidl, Aldi, superU around the block, easy to buy your groceries.
Camp site goes the extra mile offering on-site pizza, paella, wine tasting nights. Office also has a wine & beer wine, which is perfect after you use the pool or play jeu de boules. They can also provide bread for you when scheduling it the day before. I prefer walking out early in the morning and getting it myself.
We stayed at a cabin, very clean, with everything you need (fridge, cook stove, utensils, cutlery). Even a clothes hanger and BBQ. Efficient A/C on living room. You can buy linen for extra or BYO. Parking in front of your own cabin.
Quiet at night, very easy to have a rest at night. I went for a run around the area, plenty of vineyards and hills around to make it a nice, relaxing and even demanding run.
Highly recommended, and if back in the area will...
Read moreWe stayed here for 7 nights in one of the sites static caravans. The stay was part of an 18 days trip to France and it was lovely to spend a week in the Provence area. Camp site is clean and quiet which we loved. The pool area is very nice. We often had the pool to ourselves in the morning as most other people only tended to use the pool mid afternoon onwards. We stayed in one of their 4 berth static caravans and with there only being 2 of us we had plenty of room and used the 2nd bedroom to store clothes, etc. Caravans are well equipped with air conditioning and very nice shower room. Site is a short walk to the town of Vaison-la-Romaine which is a lovely place. Great market on Tuesdays. Loved that you could order bread and croissants and pick up from camp site office each morning. We had a lovely time and would...
Read moreThe site is very well placed for visiting Vaison La Romaine. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The pitches are a decent size but there are trees on some pitches that would make access and pitching difficult depending on the type of unit you have. We were in a Motorhome. The pitch we were allocated was difficult to access due to overhanging trees and we weren’t able to wind out our awning as there wasn’t room. However there was space for us to sit behind the van which was ok. We asked if the bushes could be cut back and the staff did attend to this promptly which made it easier to get off the pitch on leaving . For this reason we have given three stars although depending on the pitch allocated to you, it really is a...
