Brasserie Le Terminus — Restaurant in Chalon-sur-Saône

I really wanted to like this place. The food looked delicious. But once I tasted it, I knew it was foul. I ordered the shrimp/ gambas. It was a beautiful presentation, but the seafood smelled fishy and the taste was meally and the texture was wrong. My husband ordered the lamb. It also looked beautiful, but again the meat tasted as if it was rotten. It was almost as if the food served had spoiled before it was cooked and served to us. We ordered a hamburger for our daughter. We said just cheese and meat. it came with green salad. The chef remade it. The next time it has tomatoes on it. She did not eat it. I ended up eating it. It was ok. Nothing special. The wine was delicious. The sorbet was also good. The service was friendly. Too bad the food...

I read these reviews with horror as my husband is a real foodie and I thought I’d made a terrible mistake! My experience was nothing like these reviews, the food was very good full of flavour and when I asked to change an element of a dish, it was no problem. Tout d'abord, un cadre calme avec un accueil chaleureux et souriant, cela fait plaisir. Ensuite, le repas s'est très bien déroulé avec un temps d'attente satisfaisant, une très bonne cuisine et une musique agréable en fond. De plus, l'équipe du service restauration est à l'écoute, sachant donc bien nous conseiller en fonction de nos envies gustatives. Les membres de ce service sont également très attentifs afin de nous proposer un service de qualité, avec des serveurs et des serveuses qui connaissent leurs métier.
