WHat a wonderful find; a well stocked wine bar where you can buy your favourite wine, or is a wine cellar where you can sit and drink before buying? Oh, the cheeses were really good too. Friendly service, great place visit. Visited La Cabane à Vin and pretty sure I left more full-bodied than the wine. OK, that was the funnies i could think of. How I Mark. I may mark differently to some other reviewers, some might see this as harsh, others may see it as fair. But here's how I look at it: 5 star - WOW. I want to go back and look forward to doing so. They delivered everything expected and more. The 'more' is normally about the service or attitude of the staff. 4 star - GOOD. They delivered everything I wanted and a bit more. I recommend them and would go back. 3 star - OK. They delivered what I expected, I would go back if I needed to, although don't currently plan on doing so. 2 star - Not very good. I didn't get what I expected and the service wasn't good. I don't recommend this place. I might get dragged back here, although will always try to avoid it 1 star - RUBBISH. Don't go there, I certainly won't go there again. I didn't get what I wanted, the people were unhelpful and I didn't enjoy it in any way.

As I love craft beers and my wife loves wine, La Cabine à Vin was the perfect place for us to relax. It can be hard to find a great selection of wines and craft beers in the same establishment but that's not true here! We had three days in Chinon and visited every day. Lovely selection of meats and cheeses, as well as the drinks, too.

Great place. On a very hot afternoon we were attracted to this bar for the aircon. We had a very nice small mixed plate of cheese, rosette, fish rillettes and cornichons and a few glasses of wine. We remarked the wines here were actually the best we’ve tasted so far in Chinon. It makes sense because of course they’re selling excellent wines from across the region, from different producers. We ended up buying 6 bottles to take home. Prices are very reasonable so it was an easy decision to buy here after receiving excellent, and friendly information. We’ll probably go back...

Can't recommend this place highly enough. Astonishingly varied and high quality selection of especially local wines, and the owner's knowledge was amazing - she was able to tell me everything about everything on offer, helped me find exactly what I wanted, all with a smile and friendly.

If you want to buy some high quality Loire wines which you won't find in the main supermarkets etc. then give this place a visit - you...
