Maison Dissler, Riquewihr — Restaurant in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

Stopped here in Riquewihr on the way home after a nice time in France. We've visited Riquewihr before, but never been to this restaurant. We arrived a bit late on lunchtime and most places were packed with people. We got lucky to get a table here outside. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. Ordered the Steak Tartare and the jambonneau with sides. Both meals came with crispy golden fries. The Jambonneau was very nice. Crispy outside and fatty and tender inside. As it should be. The Tartare was of good quality and the meat nice and fresh. Came with the usual capers, onions, raw egg and chive to mix your own. The worst experience we had on our trip in Alsace. We were seated outside next to a wall full of spider webs. It took them a long time to get our order. We ordered a tarte flambe and the leg to share as we were 3. They brought us the food but forgot the extra plate that never came. No one ever came to ask if we needed anything and the food was not good. The leg had cream on top and smelled badly. The cream reminded us of a cheese that was unpleasant and the meat smelled and tasted that was cooked days before hand and just reheated many times. The flambe had the same unpleasant cheese. Most disappointing restaurant in Alsace. Avoid by all means. The waiter (perhaps the manager) was extremely rude from the start, told us that we cannot wait inside for a table for 3 minutes while the table outside was being cleared. He was unfriendly while serving us and throughout the dinner. Other clients were treated similarly. What was even worse was the food to come. A cold and dry tarte flambee.
