This is my first ever 1 star review, and the restaurant has every right to claim it. We didn’t eat here. First, no one cared to share with us the menu after we were seated. Then when the waitress finally came to ask what we wanted to order, we asked what food they serve. We were told that only limited menu was offered. That’s all fine but the waitress demanded immediately if that was fine with us. We were just still trying to understand the situation and deciding what to do. The waitress didn’t show any care or understanding of the situation, not to mention, giving us some advice. Immediately she repeatedly demanded us “is it ok?”, with an increasing aggressive tone. Great service and good food! Among a stretch of restaurants in the touristy street, this cosy restaurant has one of the friendliest service I’ve experienced so far. The serveuses were very helpful, taking the time to explain the menu and super accommodating to our various requests. The interior smelt a little strange at first but I think it was from the choucroute. The menu served mainly the specialities from Alsace which were choucroute (the Alsace version of sauerkraut - preserved shredded cabbage) with various salted meats and sausages, Tarte Flambé and some weekly specials. I visited this restaurant at lunch time with my aunt and at first, everything was going well. However, after ordering and waiting more than 30 minutes it became quite apparent that we weren't going to get our food. People who arrived after us were served within 10-15 minutes. After waiting close to 40 minutes, we decided to cut our losses and leave. The servers didn't care that we left and I honestly believe they never put on our order to begin with.
