Tower Museum of Thieves — Attraction in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

For 7€, we visited both the musea in this town, but this Tower Museum of Thieves is the most impressive and educational. The horrors of torture are still part of this building. But there are also several rooms with interesting historical movies and the descent through the brewers house is a nice second part of the experiënce. Se l'ingresso costasse di più assegnerei 4 stelle. Ma siccome il biglietto costa solo €5, consiglio di visitare questo piccolo museo che consente di salire sulla torre per un tratto del camminamento con possibilità di osservare la struttura lignea del tetto. Si rientra nella torre e sono esposte teche con gli oggetti utilizzati per la detenzione e la tortura. Altre sale mostrano ricostruzioni di ambienti e oggetti, testi, manifesti e testimonianze varie relativi alla contesa dell'Alsazia tra Francia e Germania. Molto molto interessante il videodocumentario (in francese) sugli anni della Prima e della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Prima di uscire si passa per un seminterrato con tutti gli arnesi del mestiere di bottaio. Insomma, percorso un po' eclettico di cui ho colto a fatica il filo conduttore. Diciamo che il tema è l'Alsazia dell'Alto Reno vista precisamente da Riquewihr. L'accesso con carrozzine di ogni genere è...

Very old and historical building. One room pertaining to the tourture method and another showing some devices. Then there are some rooms regarding the history of the building and area. Not very much to see but interesting. The town is very old...
