A scrumptious dinner with top shelf service! Amazing experience. In addition to the 3 course menu, we were offered not 1 but 2 amuse-bouches, and mignardises to conclude our dinner. The presentation is elaborate yet not pretentious. Everthing was delicious. Reasonable prices and an excellent value. I expect this place will soon get so sought after it will be very difficult to get a table. We went there during low season on a week day, and had to wait a day to get an opening. So book it in advance, it's worth a detour. Only negative: we were assaulted by fruit flies during our meal, which was a bit annoying, but the staff replaced an aperitif glass where a fly had landed. Not sure what they can otherwise do about it... We would eat there...

On a recent gastronomic tour of the Jura last week, the Bistronome in Arbois stood above several other wonderful culinary masterpieces in the region. Lovely calming interior greets guests along with the smiling staff. Both prix fixe and a la carte menus are offered, along with incredible wine selections. Knowledgeable staff are available to guide you through the menu. Presentation and pacing are well thought out. But the local and seasonal food offerings are the stars of the show. I have never tasted food like it, quite exceptional from start to finish. Everything was perfect. Each dish was explained. The wine was truly fantastic. We were shown our table by Lisa and the whole evening was an amazing experience. The two staff who served us were excellent. I was lucky enough to meet the chief who was extremely pleased to talk to us. Hand on heart probably in my top 3 restaurants that I have been lucky enough to visit. If ever you get the chance to go then I cannot recommend it...
