Avoid at all cost! Racist and rude

My sisters and I were abused by one of the servers working at this place. We had gone on vacation to the South of France and stayed in Frejus for a couple of days. This is a lovely town - but one with a certain reputation because of the way it votes.. My sister and I are black. We left our hotel late in the day - early afternoon time looking for a restaurant/bar where we could eat. Prior to arriving at this place, we had stopped at others where customers were still sitting in their chairs (with some drinking and eating still) and had been informed they had closed/were no longer serving food and drinks and would reopen in the evening. Consequently, as we were walking past this one and bearing in mind what all the previous ones had told us, when we saw a server, we asked him whether they were still open (serving food) - instead of simply answering yes or no, this man looked at us with disdain and said mockingly - of course we are closed. Naively I actually believed him. It is my sister who picked up on the fact he was being sarcastic and mocking us and she asked him whether he was being sarcastic. He mockingly repeated ‘yes we are closed’ gesturing at the customers who were sitting and they all started laughing. My sister got upset and I told him I actually believed him when he said they were closed and asked him why he would say that. He walked right up to my face with a nasty and menacing look on his face and said to me in a loud voice - ´if you ask dumb questions - you will get dumb answers’. I could not believe my ears and how rude this man was being and was left speechless. My sister spoke up and said - ‘why are you saying it is a dumb question’ and started trying to explain the reason we had asked the question in the first instance. This man just walked past her. I grabbed her arm and told her to leave it and that we should just walk away. None of the other customers (all white) who witnessed this spoke up and challenged the racist behaviour of this man.

En rentrant dans le restaurant, le vendeur a été très froid et a mis longtemps avant de nous servir la carte. Sur la carte, la demi de 1664 est affichée à 3.80€. J’en paye une en liquide et il m’indique donc le prix de 3,80€. En payant la deuxième bière, le vendeur m’a pris ma carte et a payé directement avec, en demandant le reçu je vois affiché 3,90€. Je demande donc pourquoi il m’a pris 3,90€ alors qu’elle est affichée a 3,80€ sur la carte et me l’a dit par lui même. Le vendeur me soutient qu’elle est affichée à 3,90€, et me dit meme qu’il va m’apporter la carte, ce qu’il n’a jamais fait. Je ne chipote pas pour 10cts mais son vice et sa malveillance méritent d’être dénoncées. En plus de ça, la bière etait degeulasse tout comme les WC et le bar (première fois que je vois une tranche de citron dans la biere). Bref, je ne recommande pas du tout, si le vendeur prend 10cts a chaque client ceci doit lui remplir un peu ses...
