Les Sablettes — Restaurant in Draguignan

Came there to enjoy the beautiful seaside and have a bite to eat. Clean bathrooms and ample space on a private beach full of beds if one were willing to pay the costs. However unfortunately our positive experience stopped there.

Although the terrace was open on both ends, one was not supposed to mingle with any of the guests who were there just to have a drink (on the far more quieter side, which we preferred). A menu card was thrown on our table, on top of the cutlery, by a tattooed waitress who apparently was not having her day.

Drinks were served with a single miniscule ice cube. And when we finally we able to draw her attention again we were told quite briskly that our choices of pizza were impossible, just like half the menu, due to the hour of the day (not listed on the card). Then there was another rude response from her when we told her we would have to go through the menu again.

We decided to not have this experience ruin our lunch experience and go elsewhere. Then there was the issue of not having reached a '10 Euro minimum' for card payment, even though our coke zero and orangina had already amounted to (also given lack of service) a steep 8.5 euro, apart from not having been able to have an extensive lunch as intended due to the above. She demanded, in a brisk way, 10 euro payment as this was 'the rule', which we declined. Ultimately the manager intervened after having witnessed the discussion for some time.

All in all not recommended, there are much better choices to...

If you're looking for a delicious seafood dining experience with a beautiful beach view, this restaurant is a must-visit. We enjoyed the Moulles à la crème, which were absolutely delicious and made with fresh ingredients.

Despite being very crowded, the staff were incredibly competent and managed to attend to our needs in a timely manner. The restaurant clearly takes pride in its quality ingredients and dishes, which is evident in the flavors and presentation of the food.

The beach view from the restaurant adds to the ambiance and makes for a wonderful dining experience. The setting is ideal for a romantic date or a casual dinner with friends and family.

All in all, if you're in Saint Raphael and looking for a restaurant with a beach view that serves high-quality seafood dishes, this restaurant is an excellent choice. The combination of great food, competent staff, and beautiful location make it a standout option...

Table for 3 person. We ordered pasta and pizza that were nice to be frank, which is why I rated 3 stars for food. For desert, we ordered tarte tatin, my favourite! The pastry was soggy and the apples not caramelised. After the first mouthful I shared my thoughts with the waitress and asked for something different, to be told I already eaten some of it so would be charged no matter what. The manager then came to explain that it was not because I did not like it that I should not pay for it. I was pressured into paying for the tarte I did not eat after a tensed discussion with the staff, and was then ignored on my way out by the manager who took my opinion very personally. The customer service was very poor and almost threatening! Cannot recommend this place to anyone, especially when there are many other good restaurants around with...
