Eric Kayser — Restaurant in Grasse

Very bad service, the waitress was unfriendly and asked two times if we wanted the food to go or to sit down sur place, both of which we answered sur place which makes every product (or at least the drinks) ~1€ more expensive. The waitress then proceeded to not even give us a tray to eat from unlike the other customers that were sitting down to eat. She then told us it was 19,40 € for two baguettes and two cokes. At that point we were pretty fed up but accepted it, sat down outside and started eating, when 5 minutes later she came outside and told us to leave because this table was for customers who payed to sit down. We told her that we did pay for sitting down, that we payed 19€ and she did not believe us, went inside and came back with a check that said we payed 16 €. We were completely baffled and told her she said 19 € before and we paid with 50€ and got back 30 and a few cents. She then wanted to see the check we got and we told her we didn’t get one because at the counter she just waved us off rudely and didn’t give us one! She then went back inside and left us alone. I think we definitely paid too much and it was a mistake on her side, whether on purpose or not. Never in my life have I experienced such bad and unfriendly customer service. I never leave bad reviews or any for that matter, but this was just too atrocious to not tell potential...

I have been to several EK in Paris so I was familiar with this chain. This location had A big selection of pastries and baked goods. Service was prompt and efficient. I grabbed several items for our beach picnic: Flan nature: 3/5 don’t expect too much from a chain. It was ok. Salmon quiche: 4/5 they warmed it up for me. Tasted good and kids loved it. Ham and cheese croissant: 3/5 this was warmed up too and was ok. Baguette: 3/5 was a little hard. Tuna sandwich: 4/5 I enjoyed this tuna sandwich. I like how they put slices of hard boiled egg in it.

This boulangerie patisserie has changed hands since the last time we visited Antibes and we are very disappointed. It is now a celebrity baker . It used to bake on the premises all day and there was a wide variety of breads and cakes. Now the bread selection is less and and not so good. The cake selection is less and not to such a high standard. The huge counter is partly empty. The quiches served by the slice are very good and the croissants and other viennoiserie are good.
