Le Petit Fouet - Restaurant Mougins — Restaurant in Grasse

Had breakfast here which included some lovely toast brioche with butter and raspberry jam, omelets, fresh OJ, charcuterie board (salami, mortadella, prosciutto and ham) was so yummy we ordered 2. There was only one person serving food and drinks to our large hungry party of 11 people so some of the cappuccinos were only lukewarm and they were out of fresh fruits and croissants but the eggs were prepared really well in all the omelets and the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Also fyi gratuity is included as it is in most restaurants and we didn’t notice that so wound up playing it twice. 😆 restaurant is super cute and service overall...

Can I give 6 stars? We first ate at Le Petit Fouet in 2022, when we were on a scouting trip to the South of France. It was winter, and the interior was so warm, cozy, and welcoming, and in a way perfectly complimented by the food and the hospitality of the owners.

We’ve lived here for nearly two years now, and Le Petit Fouet remains a favorite. It is the restaurant we eat at the most in Mougins, and it is one of the Top 5 restaurants on the Côté d’Azur to which we bring friends and family when they visit.

Lovely little restaurant in Mougins village. Seating is almost exclusively indoors so arguably best to visit in winter. Watch out for the low beams!

Food choices are all on a chalk board. There is plenty to choose from, with meat, fish and vegetarian options. The food is very good indeed. Deserts are equally delicious.

The wine list is in a separate chalk board. Again a good selection on offer.

Service is prompt with staff moving at speed yet managing to dodge the beams with ease.
