Le Poulpi Place — Restaurant in Grasse

On my stint to the Riviera I had to check out this place- finding vegan food that my non-vegan companion likes is no easy thing. Initially we had drinks (it's a rare find in France to just be able to have drinks and not food and as Brits, we loved it!) But then the smells were awesome and it didn't disappoint. Vegan cheese boards, toasties, salads and the deserts are top notch (the cookies were amazing). The atmosphere was super cool so we went back in the evening- so my companion happily had two meals with no meat. Clean, fresh food. I really loved this new cafe & bar. Great service and delicious vegan food. I visited a few times whilst in Grasse. I had the Greedy Beedy Burger which was so tasty and such a good portion. Also the toasted sandwich came with a really good salad. The forest fruit cheesecake was also really yummy. There is also a beer on tap and selection of wines. What I also love is the fact that this used to be a butcher and the owners have cleverly kept some of the features, like from old meat hooks now hang living plants - which really adds to its charm. A really fresh take and super quirky....

Healthy, flavorful, and creative !! A hip vegan joint at at the entry of historical Grasse. High quality ingredients prepared fresh. Best iced coffee in Grasse! I had the plate of the day: Thai Green Curry. It was hearty with Shiitake mushrooms, tofu, cashews, and plenty of fresh veg. Spiced to perfection! My partner had the mixed plate and OMG the hummus was to die for. Finished off strong with the Lemon Cheesecake (Coconut cream and lemon, Crumble base of nuts and dates… gluten free to boot 😋) you don’t have to be vegan (or an octopod) to love le Poulpi Place ! 10/10 will...
