Xmas day and going for a drive through the holds around vote d'azur. Time was moving on, all was quiet and we arrived in Biot.|It's was 1:30 and like walking through a film set when you think you are the only survivors left on earth: not a person or sound! Really quite refreshing and nice way to see Biot!|Eventually when we were about to return to the car we could hear a small noise which become increasing pounder as we went down a quiet st. Only to realise the noise was of laughter and chat over food!|A small little hotel,( I think " douze" chambers if I remember right. Authentic real and rather threadbare but clearly this was the place to be and soon we to were shown to a table with beaming smiles large humour and warm welcoming to the pub/ L'Hotel/ restaurant.|A hand written menue( always a good sign!!), are order written on the tablecloth, an even better sign, and " Vigo" whose home it was placed himself firmly at our feet when we ordered capon and Lapin.|When asked about what sort of dog Vigo was... The surprised landlord said "its a pub",with raised eyebrow and twinkle in his eye! |The food was amazing, the atmosphere electric and the pricing fantastic. A wonderful surprise for...
