Restaurant A Confesse — Restaurant in Grenoble

A Confesse is always my favorite Fondue place. Sitting in the confession chamber having fondue, indeed I must confess after every meal there, since I cannot stop allowing myself to try out more than I can. The combinations of the cheeses and wine are all worthy to try. I have never been disappointed, but always struggle between choosing the last one because it has been so good, and trying a new one because it will also give me a hit. The bread baskets are the topic of my colleagues everytime when I take them there. It is a fun to raise up and down that by ropes, and you must make sure your best friend is sitting beside the rope such that you get enough bread :-D I have to also mention that when my vegan colleague was here this time, the restaurant prepared an amazing salad plate for him! It was of course not in the menu but the salad plate is as beautiful as a flower, and was definitely the best salad every during our visit! My poor colleague had to share...

This restaurant is so great. The food was fantastic. I had fondue and a galette, but they offer a variety of good dishes. The service was fast and very friendly. Since our French is not the best, they also helped us to organize a taxi. I lost my mobile phone in this taxi. In the end the owner of the restaurant helped me to get it back. I was so glad, I guess I wouldn't have my phone back without his help. All in all I can highly recommend this restaurant - delicious food and super...

Déçu d’années en années… Il y a encore deux ans, plusieurs éléments étaient bien mieux… A savoir :

1. Le service était de qualité (pas d’oubli, il a fallu 1h pour être servi pour une fondu, 35 minutes pour les apéritifs et un café oublié qu’on a dû redemander a la fin. Et avec ça, cerise sur le gâteau on nous demande de vite libérer la table pour le second service de 21h30…
2. Le dessert qui manque et que beaucoup de personnes appréciaient (oui on a échangé avec les clients de ce jour), a savoir le Dr Jekyl. Lorsque nous avons demandé lors du paiement la réponse fût « cela demande trop de temps en cuisine ». Avant cela passait, désormais ce temps ou ces compétences ont disparu.
3. Nous avions toujours une chartreuse ou un digestif offert, depuis, les serveurs semblent perdus lors de la commande et une fois le paiement effectué, rien… Malheureusement nous nous efforçons de venir de temps en temps pour y croire mais tout se dégrade, c’était donc la dernière fois que nous venions… C’est dommage, ce restaurant avait tout pour plaire… Ne vous faites pas avoir, d’autres restaurants de fondue sont reconnus dans les environs, et belle...
