La Cave du Salut — Restaurant in Le Havre

This small restaurant has been very good organised. The menu is provided on a tablet on wish you can select your choices. You have a main and desert or starter and main for €17 and a 3-course menu for €19. You can choose to select outside the classic menu's. This way, you can select bigger meals but they will cost more. A 1.5 litre bottle of water is served for free along with some sliced bread. The food is served within 10 min. The quality of the food is good. It won't be your most delicious meal ever, but that is expected for the value. The environment can be better - that is the reason for the 4 stars. It looks and feels like a "fast" restaurant, so it is not a very relaxing and calm way of eating. Also the chairs and tables feel and look a bit cheap.

Meal was OK, found it pricy for the quality of the food and restaurant. Has a Fastfood type of feeling to it. We went with our little one, ordered her food and it was there within 5 minutes (piping hot so not complaining). My husbands steak (entrecote) was OK, quality and taste. My mussels with chorizo were good and I enjoyed them a lot. The reason for three stars was the state of the wc's. They were filthy and I was disgusted by them. Staff are friendly, a little is English spoken too, sat in front area of restaurant, probably nice on a warm day but the weather was terrible and not so cosy feeling in there.
