The staff are very friendly, and the salmon starter I had was pretty good. However the rest of our experience was very disappointing. The location is off the harbour opposite a taxi rank and the beginning of the meal was disturbed by 50cc scooters racing up and down. My moules marinières consisted of mussels the majority of which were no larger than a large pea. Well cooked but barely a meal. My daughter’s steak was I’d hazard a bavette cut and needed me to cut it up for her as so tough. The main irritation was however the tiny mosquitoes which emerged from I suspect the pretty flower boxes. And then they gave us the French version of a lava cake with caramel that was very...

This interaction gave us the impression that we were being unfairly judged, possibly on a racial basis. A few steps later, we called the restaurant to inquire about making a reservation, and were told that there was, in fact, availability. We had been genuinely excited to try their food after reading the positive reviews, but this experience left us feeling uncomfortable and unsafe about visiting...
