Mamie Louise — Restaurant in Lisieux

I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend after seeing that it was the number one restaurant in Honfleur on TripAdvisor, and honestly I think it is worth of such a nomination :

First of all, prices are accessible. It will cost you less than 20€ per person which is price-friendly in such a town, That’s why I advise you to come at that restaurant because beyond an accessible price, it also offers a welcoming and kind-hearted staff who speaks both french and english. Combined to the atmosphere of the restaurant, whether it is the outdoor or indoor tables, you will feel comfortable thanks to the attention that has been put into every single details.

But a restaurant would be nothing without the food you could get in there : they offer you a variety of burgers which have their uniqueness while tasting really good. They also have the benefit of being served alongside fries and mayonnaise, and all of what’s cooked is said to be homemade which is flagrant when put into your mouth.

We were looking for a last minute dinner location. Unfortunately all restaurants were fully booked and others all closing by early 9pm. One last look on the internet and we found this restaurant just outside the center of town. And luckily they were not open yet and did not accept reservation. Once we got there there was a queue but not too long so we joined thinking the food must be good if people stand in a queue for it. Well we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and fast. The non alcoholic cocktails 🍸 were very tasty. The food was equally tasty and of a good price/quality level. We greatly enjoyed our evening dinner and will surely come back when we visit next time.

One small remark and I must admit we did not indicate this to staff. One of our party recently underwent a gastric bypass so could only eat a heavily restricted portion. In general it would be great if this and other restaurants would offer special far smaller senior or post gastric bypass size meals. Many restaurants offer child portions, but these are nut...

Broke my diet with their salad. I regret nothing! I went to this place as it was my son's turn to choose the restaurant and I had an unexpectedly wonderful lunch in this place. The food was delicious (true comfort food), the home made lemonade as well, the quirky decor, the story telling menu and the old French music sealing the deal for a relaxing casual atmosphere. My salad was full of textures and layers of flavours working wonderfully together, and even the croutons (something that I usually set aside in a meal) were too good to skip. The breaded turkey burger with sauteed mushroom was delicious as well. The staff was very friendly and they spoke to us immediately in English seeing our poor attempts to order in French and we appreciated that a lot.
