Le Bistrot du Balto — Restaurant in Loches

Positives first, our food was very good, the rest not so much. We sat for well over an hour waiting for our food. I noticed a group of 3 people served starters and then their main courses before we were asked if we wanted drinks. The plat du jour was finished and the waitress told us that she needed to serve the regulars with their plat du jours first, hence our wait...well that would have been handy to know while I sat waiting to get served and watch them eat!!!!

I thought we were done after getting our desserts but my wife was question about her decision of coffee, if she wanted 2 shots of coffee or just one, milk or extra milk....it was on the menu, with no option of anything other than the drink itself... just serve her what she ordered!! 😠

Bottom line, the service was terrible and they know they were taking too long, thankfully our meals did make up for it but we won't be back...sorry 😐

As other people have commented on here, there are better establishments to eat in town with much better service and customer...

Depuis le changement de propriétaire, cette brasserie est redevenue très agréable. La nouvelle déco intérieure fait maintenant typique d'une brasserie. L'ambiance est très sympa et conviviale, excellent accueil que ce soit de la part des proprios comme du personnel, qui est toujours souriant. L'attente même les jours de forte affluence est très raisonnable. Je n'ai pas encore goûté leur cuisine, mais elle a bonne réputation, les produits sont frais et de qualité et les tarifs très corrects (menu du jour 13,50 € entrée-plat-dessert). Cette brasserie bénéficie d'une excellente situation, en plein coeur de Loches place du marché. Je vous conseille d'ailleurs d'y boire un verre ou manger les jours de marché, cela donne une ambiance vraiment spéciale et sympa. Bref, j'y vais régulièrement que ce soit seul, avec mon fils des amis ou de la famille et je continuerai.

PS : une seule petite remarque, il faudrait faire un léger effort de présentation quand on...
