Betty's Bar — Restaurant in Lyon

Great little old school pub, with a few tables outside on a deck as well. This place was packed most nights and had great energy. We found lots of travelers & locals alike here. The amazing, wonderful, talented, well-traveled & all-around beautiful human that is Aiela took great care of us. Solid beers, cocktails, bites & then those damn flavored vodkas just keep calling you to try some unique flavor. English was welcomed over my butchered French and if you're anywhere in the area, this is a must stop. Thanks for your hospitality love ! That crazy...

Ordered a pint of pills at 4.50pm which was cold and nice. Only the bartender didn't think it would be nice to tell me that the happy hour was about to start (at 5pm), and also wouldn't accept card payment as the value was under €8. Instead sent me to the cashpoint with my pint waiting on the counter. Not great service I say. Oh and my pint had a 2cm head on top - don't call yourself a pub if you serve beer French style.

We were excited to have drinks at the place because of the amazing reviews but meeting the bartender & her looks to us with disgust and treatment just because we speak English!!! Why would someone who has discrimination problem work in such a beautiful bar!! Shame, even a group of 4 came on the table next to us and had the same comment. Cannot imagine how may tourist came to that place & had the same treatment but didn’t write a review to alarm us. A complete nooo...
