JAI THAI — Restaurant in Lyon

i came here alone for lunch on my birthday, hoping to have a nice authentic thai meal, and that’s exactly what i received :​)

i ordered som tam (not on the menu), kaphrao, and mango sticky rice (forgot to take a picture), with a drink. Total came out to 24€ which is reasonable for what i got.

The food was excellent, very authentic and flavorful. I asked for very spicy and they delivered. The service was great, the waiter was kind and accommodating and even offered a discount because the mango wasn’t perfectly ripe according to him (i thought it was still good). The restaurant is clean and bright, with air conditioning. I didn’t have to wait long for my food although i was the only customer when i arrived.

Real authentic Thai food by a Thai owner and chef, we found this Thai restaurant while staying in Lyon. Most of the ingredients are from Thailand so why the taste is really super delicious. We also ordered a special menu of the day such as Somtum, sticky rice, Larb, etc, the staff are warmly welcoming and very kind. Welcomed by a nice and welcoming franco-Thai couple we were served a delicious meal cooked by the Thai Lady. Not only was the food excellent but definitely and genuinely Thai food.
