I am pleased to report that my recent visit to New China was nothing short of royal. From the moment I stepped through the doors of this Chinese and French fusion restaurant, I was greeted with the utmost warmth and hospitality by the staff.

The ambiance of the establishment was elegant and sophisticated, with dim lighting and tasteful decor creating a feeling of intimacy and exclusivity. As I perused the menu, I was delighted by the unique blend of Chinese and French flavors and techniques, each dish more tantalizing than the last.

I was lucky enough to try several items on the menu since we were a large group and I was not disappointed by a single one. Every single appetizer was a delightful treat and the main dishes were all an innovative recreation of a Classical Chinese dish. You can see the French influence on each meal and they pair perfectly with the Chinese flavours.

Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring that every detail of our dining experience was taken care of. I also appreciated the small touches, like the complimentary appetizers and personalized recommendations from the chef.

As for the desserts, I would highly recommend the mochi and black sesame ice cream.

The food was of the highest caliber and the service was impeccable, making for a truly memorable dining experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an elevated and unique culinary experience, fit for even the most esteemed and...

I had Christmas Eve dinner with my family at New China in Lyon. Easily the best food we’ve had so far. One of the standout features of New China is their commitment to Chinese-French fusion cuisine. The menu offers a wide range of dishes that seamlessly blend the flavors and techniques of both cultures, resulting in truly unique and delicious creations.

For my main course, we tried the shrimp, beef, scallops, pecking duck, which were cooked to perfection and served with a side of fried rice & tofu and we ordered drinks on the side. The combination of the rich, red wine sauce and the savory fried rice was absolutely divine.

But the real highlight of my meal at New China was the dessert. I can't even begin to describe how amazing the black sesame mocha icecream was - it was creamy, sesamey, and had just the right amount of sweetness.

Overall, I would highly recommend New China to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience that showcases the best of Chinese and French cuisines. The food was impeccable, the service was very friendly & quick, and the atmosphere was...

The experience is amazing. The fusion is definitely there with the Chinese & French taste. It was well done. From the entrées to the main courses and the desserts. Specia mention to the daurade tartare, foie gras & the duck, they were the favorites! And I would recommend to try them. Everything was super good to be honest and represented well China & France. The food came with good presentation. You are definitely full after all this food! Nice staff as well. Few comments would be that it’s too bad there is only one vegetarian option that isn’t on the menu “à la carte” as it is fried noodles (even though they were really tasty), we came with the 50% off Fork offer and obviously the vegetarian dish wasn’t part of it. More vegetarian options could be added (also the braised aubergines were good!). A bit disappointed with the coconut balls, I found them not that tasty but it’s a matter of personal taste. Overall I would recommend to try this restaurant!
