Johnny's Kitchen — Restaurant in Lyon

Went to this pub because they advertised that they were showing all the Women's World Cup matches. They weren't. Had to ask to have it put on and they didn't put on the sound. In fact, the server would turn up the music during preferred songs. The advertisement was very misleading. The channel froze at minimum every two minutes but at this time the game had started and the closest pub to move to would've been a 10-15 minute walk (which I was not willing to do during such a crucial match). The baked potato I ate however was so good I had to up my rating from zero stars to three. The less than mediocre service brings it back to a two. I wouldn't ever go back.

Thinking back on my trip, visiting their country during an international football tournament, and looking for somewhere to watch one of the games, finding somewhere that advertised they were showing the matches, arriving to discover they were not doing as advertised and then having such a mediocre experience, is still memorable for...

I have been to this little Irish sports pub many times over the years . They do a weekly food menu which you can find on their website or on FB . The owner is a genuine Irish man who entertains in the evenings playing Irish music along with other groups and individuals. The pub is both popular with locals and ex-pats in Lyon. They serve great food and I believe their Fish’n’chips are the best in Lyon . Good range of Irish beers and a great pint of Guinness. This little pub is situated in the old part of Lyon and has outside seating. Food and drink prices are very reasonable and the service is very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend Johnny’s Kitchen for a visit...

Honnêtement très très déçu... C'est la première fois que je met un avis négatif à un établissement. J'avais réservé la salle du bas pour un jeudi soir à l'occasion de mon pot de départ (en y invitant 25 personnes). Après avoir eu le patron au téléphone plusieurs fois, nous avions convenu que l'ensemble de la salle me serait bien réservé, et j'ai commandé en avance trois planches à partager pour que le patron puisse s'organiser.

Arrivé le jour J, des clients étaient déjà installés dans la salle que j'avais réservé. Le barman me disant que nous ne sommes finalement pas assez pour avoir la salle. J'ai dû insister pour qu'il demande aux clients d'aller dans l'autre partie du bar, étant donné que j'avais Réservé. Je passe sur le fait que la salle n'est pas propre du tout, avec de grosses toiles d'araignées de partout. Ensuite deux serveuses nous apportent 4 planches à partager, je leur dis donc que je n'en ai commandé que 3, mais elles ne parlent pas Français et ne comprennent pas. J'abandonne et accepte les 4 planches. Planches qui sont honnêtement SCANDALEUSES niveau quantité, pour un prix de 12,5 € A 23h ces deux mêmes serveuses me disent qu'il ferment la salle que j'ai réservé, alors que j'ai bien demandé plusieurs fois au patron, et est même venu la veille en personne pour bien m'assurer qu'ils ferment à 1h comme écrit sur internet. Prétextant qu'ils doivent nettoyer, le barman accepte finalement de prolonger jusqu'à minuit (alors qu'il était convenu 1H !). Le système son de la salle ne fonctionnait pas, j'ai dû emmener ma propre enceinte. (+ il n'y a pas de wifi dans le bar, et on ne capte rien en bas ...)

Au moment de régler la note je demande un mini geste commercial au moins pour diminuer le prix des planches de 2€, ce qui se solde par un refus catégorique du barman.
