La Maison Cobalte — Restaurant in Lyon

An affordable fine dining experience! We appreciated that the tables we reserved ahead of time had the name of the person in our party who made the reservation. It was a special touch. There is a set menu which changes weekly. Therefore, there are minimal options within a course, however, they are accommodating to allergens. The woman who served us was kind, knowledgeable and a pleasure to interact with. The food was simply delicious with complementary flavors and satisfying portions. There is a section where you can use their scrap paper to use provided ink stamps on. It was a fun creative area! I made a few post cards. All in all, a wonderful experience....

Everything was almost perfect! 🤩♥️ The location is amazing — on a warm, sunny day, you can sit outside and really soak in the city vibes.

Service: A young and beautiful lady was extremely kind and friendly! She walked us through the menu step by step and even shared a little story about the place — such a nice touch.

Food: The appetizers and desserts were great! However, the main dish was just okay. We had a meat dish that was full of veins — I couldn’t even cut it with a knife.

That’s the only reason I’m giving 4 stars...

Visiting my friend in Lyon, her favourite place was this award winning restaurant cafe near the Saint Polycarpe. A quiet area in the evening for an exceptional restaurant. The staff are most knowledgeable and the service impeccable, most notably Philippine, who provided a detailed knowledge of the wine and menu, as well good humour. The food was delicious, unique flavours and combinations, natural local produce with and excessive use of MMMMMMmmmmmmm. Love this place, great wine and affordable, you feel like it was...
